Election packets may be picked up beginning September 23, 2014, during regular business hours. The filing period for petitions is December 15-December 22, 2014. The Wilmington Public Library District will be honoring our Veterans with a tribute display!
The Wilmington Public Library District is reaching out to the community to help honor and thank our Veterans. Throughout November, the library will display pictures submitted by veterans and families of veterans to honor those who have served our country through military service. Those wanting to submit a photo of a veteran for the tribute display are asked to fill out an entry form. Photos will be scanned and returned to owner.
Entry forms are available at the library and online. Photos and entry forms may also be submitted digitally to firstname.lastname@example.org.

A Mad World: World War I and World War II presented by Jim Gibbons

Come join us as we celebrate the 100th year anniversary of World War I and honor our veterans! Historian Jim Gibbons will take you through two of the most catastrophic wars in our nationís history, highlighting significant events that thrust the United States into two unwanted wars. These events include the Assassination of the Arch Duke Ferdinand, the sinking of the luxury liner Lusitania, Hitlerís ambition to achieve power, the attack on Pearl Harbor, the dropping of the Atomic Bomb and much, much, more! AARP Driverís Safety Class
Monday, November 17, 2014 from 9 AM- 5 PM
Lunch will be provided
$15 for AARP Members
$20 for Nonmembers
Participants can pay by cash or a check made out to AARP on the day of the program.
This one-day Driver Safety course run by the AARP is geared toward older drivers, however the class is open to all ages. You may be eligible for a discount on your insurance policy if you pass the course. Please consult your agent for details. Registration is required! Christmas Card Making
