New Disc Repair Service!
Don’t throw out that scratched disc. Repair it! Wilmington Public Library District is now offering disc repair to the public for $2.00 per disc. Our RTI Ecco Senior II can fix just about any scratch you’ve got. We can fix DVDs, CDs, data discs and almost all games (i.e. X-box, Wii, and Playstation.) Just drop off your discs at the front desk and fill out a form. We’ll call you when they are fixed and ready for pick-up. Our machine restores the surface of the disc so it looks just like new again. Visit
www.RTIco.com for more info on how it works!
Computer Changes
The library has implemented a “PC Reservation” system. This allows users to sign onto a computer without needing to wait for staff. Computer users will also be able to reserve a machine when all are in use and know exactly how long the wait will be. Users will also know exactly how much a document will cost before they print it. The library no longer supplies headphones for the computers. You can bring a pair from home or buy a pair at the library. Headphones are $1, earbuds are $2 and we also sell flashdrives for $7.

Carry out @ your library™
We are proud to announce we will be offering
Carry out @ your library™ beginning July 1. What
exactly is this? Carry out @ your library™ is a new service being offered to serve our patrons better by acknowledging that everyone is getting busier. In a nutshell, you can call the library with a list of specific titles you would like to check out or a topic you would like materials on. We will search for the items to be sure they are available, pull them from the shelf, check them out to your library card and place them in a special bag, which will also be checked out to you. Library staff will call you back to confirm availability of the items and time of pickup. You may either come into the building to get the materials or request that staff bring the materials out to the curb.
- Regular checkout periods apply
- Limit of 10 items
- Books and audiobooks only
- If you are requesting curbside pickup, staff will be outside at the time you’ve requested. If you are not there to pick up the items at the appointed time, staff will bring them back into the library. If you do not pick the items up before the close of business that day, items will be checked in and put back on the shelf.
- You must call at least 2 hours prior to the time you would like to pick the materials up.
- You may request materials up to 48 hours in advance of the requested pickup time.
