Kids aren’t the only ones that can have fun! The Wilmington Public Library is planning an adult field trip to the Fabyan Villa Museum and Japanese Gardens in Geneva, Illinois on Thursday, June 15th, leaving the library at 8:30 AM with a return time at approximately 4:00 PM. The day will begin with a private tour of the Fabyan Villa Museum that was remodeled by Frank Lloyd Wright and boasts design elements true to Wright’s style. Also on property is a beautiful Japanese Garden to be explored. Following the tour, there will be time in downtown Geneva for shopping and lunch on your own. There is a $15.00 fee that includes school bus transportation and admissions to the Fabyan Villa Museum and Japanese Garden. Registration is open to Wilmington Public Library patrons beginning on May 1st and open registration for remaining spaces begins on May 8th. To register, please stop by the library. Fee must be paid at time of registration. Questions can be directed to adult services at 815-476-2834.
